Are you looking for a double-sided adhesive tape to reliably and permanently bond polymers such as polyethylene, polypropylene, or polystyrene?
DuploColl 265 by Lohmann is specifically designed for demanding bonding applications of this kind.
Thanks to its high-performance synthetic rubber adhesive, the tape provides reliable adhesion even on difficult-to-bond surfaces. In addition to high- and low-energy plastics, DuploColl 265 can also be used on rubberized substrates as well as powder-coated and painted surfaces. Due to its water resistance, the nonwoven tape ensures durable bonding even in cool or humid environments.
DuploColl 265 is also used for mounting rubber molded parts and plastic profiles. The second adhesive side is protected by a yellow release paper, allowing components to be pre-equipped and bonded at a later stage.
Compared to film-backed tapes, DuploColl 265 offers the advantage of being hand-tearable, enabling fast and tool-free processing and significantly reducing manual assembly time.
Adhesive System
DuploColl 265 features a special paper nonwoven carrier that is fully coated on both sides with a transparent pressure-sensitive adhesive based on synthetic rubber. This adhesive is characterized by its outstanding tack and excellent immediate adhesion on polymers such as PE, PP, and PS.
The adhesive tape is highly resistant to moisture and can therefore be used in cool or humid environments, including applications such as the mounting of refrigerator evaporator plates.
The total thickness of carrier, adhesive layers, and release liner is approx. 0.19 mm.
DuploColl 265 can be used permanently under load in temperature ranges from -10 °C to +70 °C without loss of adhesion. Short-term exposure to temperatures up to +85 °C is also possible.

Tips Although DuploColl 265 is suitable for use in humid environments after application, the components to be bonded should be at approximately room temperature during installation to prevent condensation on the adhesive surface. |

Packaging
DuploColl 265 is supplied wound adhesive-side in on a stable cardboard core with an inner diameter of 3 inches (76 mm). Silicone-coated cardboard discs are placed between the rolls to protect them during storage and transport.
Storage Conditions & Shelf Life
When stored in the original packaging at room temperature (17–20 °C) and normal humidity (50–70% RH), DuploColl 265 has a shelf life of 12 months from delivery.
