Do you need to permanently bond difficult-to-adhere plastics such as polyethylene, polypropylene, or polystyrene? Are you looking for a double-sided adhesive tape for flat and smooth surfaces?
DuploColl 268 by Lohmann is a high-performance double-sided adhesive tape developed specifically for these demanding applications. Its premium synthetic rubber adhesive ensures reliable bonding on smooth high- and low-energy plastics. The tape is also suitable for rubber components as well as powder-coated and coil-coated (SH) painted surfaces.
Thanks to its water resistance, DuploColl 268 provides reliable adhesion even in humid environments or areas prone to condensation.
DuploColl 268 is commonly used to equip rubber molded parts and plastic profiles with a self-adhesive backing. The second adhesive side is protected by a yellow release paper, allowing components to be transported and bonded at a later stage.
Unlike film-backed tapes, DuploColl 268 paper nonwoven tape is hand-tearable, enabling fast, tool-free processing and reducing manual assembly time and costs.
Adhesive System
DuploColl 268 features a special paper nonwoven carrier coated on both sides with a transparent synthetic rubber adhesive. This adhesive is characterized by outstanding initial tack and excellent adhesion to difficult substrates such as PE, PP, PVC, and ABS. It also offers good resistance to moisture.
The total thickness of carrier and adhesive layers is approx. 0.23 mm.
The adhesive surface is protected by a yellow silicone paper liner.
DuploColl 268 can be used permanently under load in temperature ranges from -10 °C to +70 °C without loss of adhesive performance.

Tips Although DuploColl 268 is suitable for use in humid environments after application, the components to be bonded should be at approximately room temperature during installation to prevent condensation on the adhesive surface. |

Packaging
DuploColl 268 is supplied wound adhesive-side in on a stable cardboard core with an inner diameter of 3 inches (76 mm). Silicone-coated cardboard discs are placed between the rolls for protection.
Storage Conditions & Shelf Life
Store DuploColl 268 in the original packaging at room temperature (17–20 °C) and normal humidity (50–70% RH). Under these conditions, the shelf life is 12 months from delivery.
