DuploColl 3720 by Lohmann is a double-sided universal adhesive tape that bonds reliably to cellophane-coated surfaces and a wide range of plastics.
DuploColl 3720 adheres exceptionally well to various plastic foams made of polyethylene, PVC, or polyurethane, making it ideal for self-adhesive equipping of these materials. The second adhesive side is protected by a yellow silicone paper liner.
Compared to film-backed tapes, DuploColl 3720 offers the advantage of being hand-tearable thanks to its paper nonwoven carrier. No additional tools are required, reducing manual processing time and contributing to cost-efficient production.
Adhesive System
DuploColl 3720 features a special paper carrier coated on both sides with a modified acrylic adhesive. The total thickness of carrier and adhesive layers is approximately 0.21 mm.
The modified acrylic adhesive provides:
- High initial and final adhesion
- Good resistance to solvents and chemicals
- Excellent UV and ageing resistance
Its adhesive consistency also allows use on highly absorbent substrates such as textiles, leather, and paper.
DuploColl 3720 can be used permanently in temperature ranges from -40 °C to +150 °C without loss of adhesive performance, even under strongly fluctuating temperature conditions.

Tips Although the paper nonwoven adhesive tape is highly temperature-resistant, the recommended application temperature is 18 °C to 35 °C. Bonding substrates should be acclimatized to room temperature prior to application to prevent condensation, which could reduce adhesive strength. |

Storage Conditions & Shelf Life
When stored in the original packaging under standard conditions (approx. +20 °C, 50% relative humidity), DuploColl 3720 has a shelf life of 12 months from receipt by the customer.
