File prongs are utilized for every kind of folder to provide a convenient possibility for filing documents. This type of file folder fastener consists of a press-cutted, plastic-coated metal tape. In contrast to regular coated prongs, there is no cutting edge on the long sides visible, due to the complete coating of plastic. For more diversity, these file prongs are available with end caps as well as without.
Mounting
File prongs are processed by hand during the folder production. The coated steel ribbon is led through pre-cutted slits of a folder and the prongs are bent upwards. Now the folder is ready for filing. The fastener be parted and removed from the folder at any time.
