A flexible solution for almost every application – with their high performance, hook tapes can also be used for challenging requirements. The strong combination of hook and loop is the result of countless barbed hooks, connected with the small eyelets of the loop tape (KK810). Thanks to the high-quality of our nylon hook and loop tapes, a repeated opening and closing doesn’t influence the strong connection. Therefore the hook and loop is not only used in textile industry, but also in other branches, where a temporal connection is required

Tips & Advices After some time, it appears that yarn residues, hairs and lint effect the connection between the hook and loop tape. These residues can be removed with a hard brush to improve the strength of the combination. |
Adhesive
We supply our self-adhesive hook tape in two versions: You can either choose a synthetic rubber adhesive or an acrylic adhesive. It depends on your individual application which kind of adhesive should be used. The rubber adhesive (KK 820 K) is used for indoor applications. With its initial tack on many different surfaces, the rubber adhesive creates a perfect bonding at constant room temperature. For outdoor applications, we recommend our loop tapes with acrylic adhesive (KK 820 A). This is used on hook and loop tapes which face extreme weather conditions. It is also very resistant to humidity and temperature fluctuations. Due to its UV resistance, acrylic adhesive is the right choice when the loop tape is exposed to direct sun radiation.

Quality features
To ensure the long-lasting usage of our hook tapes, we supply the material with high-quality eyelets. When you use hook and loop tapes which contain of weak nylon, the hooks will straighten or the loops will tear apart. Therefore we only use high-quality material of durable nylon.

All loop tapes have a length of 25 m and are available in the following widths:

Our hook tape is wound on a 1“-plastic core. The self-adhesive side is covered with a white liner, made of siliconized paper, and we attach paper discs to the sides to keep the rolls in shape during the transport.

A special type of hook tape is mushroom tape. The barbed hooks are formed like mushrooms and are much shorter than hooks on regular hook tape. Combined with extra fine spun velours tape, mushroom-headed tapes assure a strong bond and is thinner than regular hook and loop tape.
Another powerful hook and loop fastener is the Dual-Lock connector system made by 3M. In contrast to regular hook and loop tape, Dual Lock doesn’t need a further tape for an interlock effect and can be locked with itself. The cast mushroom-shaped hooks are pressed together and lock with an audible sound. Due to the extruded hooks, Dual Locks provide a particular rigid bond and a high stability.
