Slotted filing strips are used to equip assembled file systems belatedly with a filing mechanic. Because of the eyelets with pierced holes, un-punched brochures, magazines or bundled documents equipped with this plastic fastener, can be filed into a folder or binder. Alternatively file strips are used in combination with file prongs and compressor bars, when mounting and filling of assembled file systems implies too much effort. Compared to soft polypropylene, our Filing Strips consist of a white rigid PVC or a transparent PET plastic and are more sturdy and tear-resistant.
Mounting
In contrast to our self-adhesive file strips, slotted Filing Strips have no adhesive and are plunged on file prongs. Due to the press-cutted slots, the filing strip is still moveable on the metallic file prongs.
When needed, the eyelets are tracked through pre-cutted slots in the rabbet of a folder, allowing the folder and its content to be filed.
