Are you looking for a double-sided tape to permanently mount objects on smooth surfaces? Do you need a reliable mounting tape for fixing mirrors?
DuploCOLL 918 is a double-sided adhesive foam tape developed by Lohmann specifically for such applications. Thanks to its excellent initial tack, the tape provides outstanding load-bearing capacity immediately after application.
With a total thickness of 1.15 mm, the foamed polyethylene carrier offers vibration-damping properties. When bonded materials expand or move—such as at joints or recesses—DuploCOLL 918 compensates through its elasticity, reducing stress and preventing tension-related failures.
Due to its high initial adhesion, the tape is suitable for permanent bonding on almost all smooth or slightly uneven surfaces, including displays, metals, painted surfaces, as well as low- and high-energy plastics.
Adhesive System
The white PE foam carrier is fully coated on both sides with pure acrylic adhesive. Both the acrylic adhesive and the PE foam offer excellent resistance to UV radiation and weathering, making this foam tape highly suitable for outdoor applications.
Thanks to its high resistance to plasticizers and ageing, the foam does not yellow over time and remains permanently elastic.
DuploCOLL 918 can be used continuously in temperature ranges from -40 °C to +95 °C without loss of adhesive performance. Even under fluctuating temperature conditions, the foam tape maintains reliable bonding strength.

Tips Despite its high initial tack, maximum load capacity is achieved after a curing time of 24 hours. Please avoid applying full load to bonded components until this curing period has elapsed. |

Quality Features
Due to its special formulation, DuploCOLL 918 is chemically inert with respect to mirror coatings and does not react with mirror backing paints. As a result, it is recommended by leading mirror manufacturers.
